One of a series

xavier and grandad
I've been working on the annual report and accounts for the charity Abbeyfield. The charity is the result of the vision of the inspirational Richard Carr-Gomm. And this year, the incidental images throughout the annual report reflected the theme of companionship and love across the generations. This one was my favourite, because it shows my father enjoying a moment of pulling faces at my son Xavier.

That is so charming, Julie. You caught a moment so typical between Xavier and his grandfather that you'll always cherish looking at.

PS I just looked up Richard Carr-Gomm. What an inspiration. Did you do all the illustrations in the report-- and, if so, and will we get to see them here?

Hi Annie
I felt very privileged to be producing work for a charity that does so much good. And the story of Richard Carr-Gomm is quite amazing.

I designed the report and produced all the illustrations in it. I just wanted to pick out my favourite one, and as many of the others were using photography of people I didn't know as reference they weren't as personally interesting, so no I probably won't post them all here but they should be putting the entire annual report on their website which I'll link to.

Hey Julie, Just what is going on in London and some of the cities this week? Sounds so different to the delightful village/town that you live in.
