Will we get fair voting?

Guardian-Times-Ad-FairVotesNow
Ever since studying British Government at school I’ve been appalled at the patent unfairness of our first-past-the-post system, which means that some voters are permanently disenfranchised. So here’s hoping that these ads in the Times and the Guardian have done their bit to remind Nick Clegg that this is a once in a lifetime chance to insist on a referendum for a fairer voting system.

Dont think there is a fair system. We have proportional voting and the ones who gained the most votes still lost.

Yes I don't think it's straightforward finding the precise flavour of PR that works the best for a particular electorate. It's just that at the moment the substantial vote for the third party doesn't translate at all into seats in parliament. They received a quarter of the votes, but only have about a twelfth of the seats in Parliament. They don't happen to be my usual choice, so I'm interested not because they're the party I support but becaause I feel it's undemocratic.
