Puppet show in the church

puppetshow
The last evening of Xavier’s church story club this term culminated in a puppet show of the tale of Baboushka and the nativity. A pew was turned round to hide the puppeteers and puppets were made by the children from wooden spoons, pipe cleaners and scraps of cloth.

Meanwhile eldest son Tom is in the throes of university applications and interviews. He has an interview at Oxford coming up and has had them at Bath and Bristol. It would be very convenient for us if he got into Oxford – far less expensive on the petrol visiting two of them at once, however the other universities are in very lovely cities…

Just so long as he only applies to plaes which are nice to visit!

I love the small face peeping over the top!

I feel the same as Katherine, wonderful little faces peeking over the pew and puppets. It must have been such fun for them as well as for all of you in the audience.

What a delightful sketch and good luck to Tom. I have 'ticked two boxes' in the last fortnight as you can see on my blog. Now back to some art. Christmas wishes to you all - Alison

Well of course Katherine! Bath, Bristol, Sheffield and Cardiff probably all have sketching potential.

Wow Alison - fantastic news!
