It’s Monday so it’s swimming

A quickie of the swimming pool. Not great, so if you really want to be amused go and have a look at Xavier’s latest blog entry here.

This is a place where I regularly post personal artwork, good, bad or indifferent.
The characters that crop up regularly in this blog are husband – Robin, eldest teenager and only daughter – Flo, next teenager and eldest son – Tom, teenager second son – Hugo, five year old third son – Xavier, and red Staffordshire Bull Terrier – Rufus.
I'll try to reply wherever you comment but if I don't it's only because I'm overwhelmed with running a family and earning a living.
My two eldest have started a business venture selling artwork (mainly my paintings) to raise money for university. Please visit their site, Oakley Gallery to see what they are selling now.
If you want to buy prints of anything you see here or have any requests please send an email to flo at oakleygallery dot com

You might not know but I have been reading through your old blog 'one mile from home'. I recently read your query about Fairshott Court. This was a youth hostel between 1981 & 1989. It was the former Hatfield Polytechnic halls of residence. That's all I've discovered so far, I will dig a little deeper if you are interested.
Hi Julie
Thanks for stopping by my blog and for the kind comment about my drawings. I do know Katherine's blogs, I catch up with them whenever I can. Going back to the history of Fairshott Court, I have drawn a blank when I delved deeper. There doesn't seem to be anything pertaining to it's time as halls of residence. The only thing I did find was a group photo of some young people (I think the local fc) in front of Fairshott Court. It was taken circa 1930.
