This is a place where I regularly post personal artwork, good, bad or indifferent.
The characters that crop up regularly in this blog are husband – Robin, eldest teenager and only daughter – Flo, next teenager and eldest son – Tom, teenager second son – Hugo, five year old third son – Xavier, and red Staffordshire Bull Terrier – Rufus.
I'll try to reply wherever you comment but if I don't it's only because I'm overwhelmed with running a family and earning a living.
My two eldest have started a business venture selling artwork (mainly my paintings) to raise money for university. Please visit their site, Oakley Gallery to see what they are selling now.
If you want to buy prints of anything you see here or have any requests please send an email to flo at oakleygallery dot com

I am quite new to Blogging and I chanced upon your Blog. I just LOVE your style. I can't draw a line, but my daughter has an interest and I'll certainly show her your work. My hobby is quite different. I write various types of verse. I've set myself the yask of publishing a new poem a day until I drop off the twig. Try me.

Julie what have you done with his arms? Or am I at the aproach of great gandmother hood(heaven forbid!) not seeing well enough? Gosh he has grown up so quickly.
Wet and cold here, but still only half our average rain for July and all the other months so far way below average.
Thankyou Rinkly Rimes. I love your poems too. I like the idea of doing it till you drop.
Penny they do look a little strange but the baggy sleeve of his school shirt and the arm of the settee were hiding most of the left arm that he had crossed behind his back. He still looks little more than a baby to me, though this picture admittedly makeshim look older
