Waiting in the car

incar
It’s been ages since my last self-portrait, so I grabbed the opportunity to peer into the car vanity mirror and quickly sketch while action man went into the camping shop to look for supplies for his latest venture.

Hmm, not sure if I should say great sketch or not, I like it but you have been a bit brutal I think.
Not sure about you but life has got a bit busy here lately and I am trying not to moan about the lack of water but it is happening again, although so far the weather has stayed fairly cool which helps.

You do have a way with marks on paper Julie. Lovely.
Vanity mirror - why don't we have mirrors that give us Sophie Loren's eyes, a pert nose, that red-dressed woman in Pretty Woman's mouth, etc. etc. That really would be 'vanity'!

I'm with Penny, I suspect you sketch harder on your self than on the rest of your family... Could be that most of your portrait drawings are from every angle but straight, dead on and a self portrait, by it's very nature can't be any other way if it's from real life...I suspect those eyes are most often crinkled a bit with laughter....
