Xavier watching Scooby-Doo

xavierwatchingtv
It was good to do a bit of sketching after a too-long break. I am at last beginning to feel a bit more human and can just about manage a quick sketch. I’m so lucky to have such a wonderful family, but I’m looking forward to having a bit of time on my own when they all go back to school/work.

I also hope you are feeling better. Although if you are going to be sick it is nicer when it is cold than when it has been as hot as we have been.
Love your Xavier sketches, he is gorgeous.
Happy New Year and I hope you do lots of creative things. I do miss our walks together.

You and me both! I've been ill over christams too with the highlight seeing my lovely family, but I can't WAIT until next week!

...oh by the way, thanks so much Julie for sharing your sketches of your family. They've been such a source of inspiration to me. Happy new year to you!

Thanks for all your New Year wishes. Jess it is such a blessed relief to have a few hours on your own isn't it?

These figure drawings you've been doing are wonderful. I've been studying them closely and and floored at how loose and expressive they are, yet very specific to their subject too.

You must have had THE DREADFUL BUG which has hit so many people this winter. I hope you're feeling much better now.

Xavier's feet are great in this sketch - I have resolved to overcome my inhibitions about hands and feet this year and consequently study them in everybody else's drawings!

Martha, thank you so much. Katherine I really have taken forever to feel human this winter – thus the almost complete absence of blog posts.
