Smiling Julie

robindrawing
This is Robin’s first attempt at drawing since he was at school. I rather like this happy looking version of me – it’s far more joyful than any of my self portraits. I’m off to Glasgow with Flo and Hugo for a few days so there'll be a break in posting for a while.

Oh my, this is FANTASTIC!! It's sort of David Hockney meets David Levine meets Jules Feiffer. I hope Robin will keep drawing!

Hello Julie AND Robin !

I would like to invite the both of you to join in on a little portrait-drawing-fun ... please drop by here: http://www.udgang99.dk/pdm

The site is just starting out, but it's looking promising already, I think!

Hi Julie,

I know that this is last minute but Artist's Magazine (a pretty good art magazine here in the US) is going to write a story about The Portrait Party. They would like to include this swap between you and Robin (and a few more of the swaps) in the story. If you would like to have the drawings included, would you mind emailing me high resolution (350dpi) copies of your drawing of him and his drawing of you? (If he doesn't want to participate, I'm sure I could convince them to use the swap between you and Flo instead.) Either way, please let me know soon. I need to give them the artwork before Monday.

Thanks!
