I love the colours and how you've captured the light here. I bet those fish and chips tasted great!
Julie, this is fantastic. So much detail and the way you've illustrated the light is wonderful.
Julie,
This is one of my very, very favorite paintings! It's loose, yet detailed. The colors are fabulous. And the composition - using the full spread of the journal just fantastic. How long did you sit there before and after the fish and chips?
I recognised it straight away :)
After lunch, I was permitted just under an hour to draw while the others wandered around Padstow. I managed to get down all the lines and a teeny bit of the colour in that time. The rest I did from memory.
Must comment on this one too, its just as I remember Cornwall.
this is really nice, perfection, and captures everything beautifully. fish and chips! and i bet they were proper fish and chips too. i miss good fish and chips, miss it so much.
