Venice scribble

Flo was dozing in her seat at the back of the vaporetto, so I snatched a moment to draw the scene as it flashed by.

Julie; these are all wonderful and the photo is quite dramatic. I am enjoying all your travel sketches and just love your impressions of Venice. I was there last summer and suffered through the heat and humidity and didn't enjoy as I wish I could have. Are you traveling with just moleskines or othere sketchbook as well?

I love this!! Your linework looks relaxed and fluid. Yet you still see so much detail. Great job.

marta, I found it hot as well (and when you can't swim to cool off that can be a bit of a pain) so I'd like to go at a different time, next time. Having said that it didn't spoil my pleasure at being there. I took a large moleskine watercolour sketchbook (which was what I mainly used) a tiny cartridge sketchbook and some big blocks of Arches in the vain hope that I might be able to do some big pieces.

Thanks Genine, glad you like it.
