Tom with Tintin hair

tintin
Tom has joined me on this dyeing lark. He went for blonde – which on top of the previous dark blue turned the hair a carroty orange at the tips. So off he went for a hair cut to remove as much of the orange as possible, and now his hairstyle has a marked resemblance to Tintin’s.

I read your blog on a daily basis and am enjoying your art and commentary very much. Your posts and the those of several others that I read daily help slow the day down a bit and bring a calming element into an otherwise blindingly fast-paced world. Thank you.

That's a lovely comment and one I agree with, I'm really enjoying your latest series. I'm a latecomer to dyeing too, bit of a drag but worth it I think. It's a bit scary after a while when you see the roots coming through and wonder if you can ever go natural again though! I've been trying for weeks to do sketches of my family after seeing yours but mine either hibernate in their bedrooms for hours on end or fidget endlessly - I'm going to have to resort to photos if they don't co-operate!

Argon one I'm so glad you're enjoying it. Felicity I think I may have to use photos if I'm ever going to catch Flo. My lot all fidget so they're all approximations. By the way on the hair front I do think blondes have it easier than brunettes as far as dyeing goes. I just hope I don't end up as one of those old ladies with a terrifying helmet of DARK hair that doesn't match my skin.

Had a giggle about the Tintin thing as we have an aspiring pm here who the papers have great fun caricaturing as Tintin, I dont know that most of the population know who is tho (Tintin I mean,).
Oh and the Japanese also resort to the dye bottle which is why for years you didnt ever see a grey Japanese.
Great sketch
