Practising painting water

farcornerpool
We visited our pool-owning relatives. I took the opportunity to practise rapid painting of water and reflections as I have a very exciting last minute break coming up. Flo and I are going away to two very different places while Robin and the boys go camping in France. Now for which place would you want to practice painting water and reflections?

You continue to put up interesting pics. Water - yes, it's hard to depict - to get the movement, ripples, somehow. This one looks fine.

I love the pool, Julie, it's so inviting...the slide is the perfect touch. I hope you enjoy your trip!

I see none of you have tried to guess which watery city we're visiting! Thank you all for your nice comments.

How grand and mysterious to have pool owning relatives. Did they like the watercolour, I imagine they love it?

You got it Penny. Three days in Edinburgh at the festival and then 5 days in Venice (which I have been dropping hints about for the last 20 years to no avail!). It'll be strange to have a week without Xavier, but I know that he'll have a great time. Anon I did them a print - which they're thrilled with.
