Mr Grumpy
Together with my last self portrait and this picture, I don’t suppose it looks as though it’s a barrel of laughs in this house. In my defence I have to say it doesn’t feel right smiling at your reflection for an hour or more. However I think we’re going to both have to work on the expressions we have in repose.

As you say julie, when in repose we are not looking alert and smiling and i guess that goes for you looking in the mirror too, but perhaps a hint of a smile?
Ha ha. Just wait a couple more decades and you both start to lose your teeth and get that sucked in look which old people get! Okay, you do look after your teeth then!
I like the colour on the pics above. Fun trying out new art materials.

*lol* Looks just like the expressions around my house! Personally, I think it's kinda nice when you can feel comfortable enough to not wear your "public" face around the house. It means you trust the people you're with. (or maybe it just means you don't realize anyone is looking!) Great sketch - I love the pose and the loose line work. Really, really nice.
