A couple of quickies while walking

Xavier had to wait while I painted the field to the side of the track. However once we were in the woods Xavier was engrossed in wood-lice and little maggots and all sorts of tiny creatures crawling around and through a large fallen tree rotting into the ground, so he told me that I could draw while he was busy.
Both pictures 180mm x 120mm on Fabriano watercolour paper

Ooooh, I love both of these, though they are different. The top one is so peaceful, and your clouds are great. You really captured the feel of a forest in the bottom one. Thank you for not including Xavier's critters.

Julie - Have you changed your watercolours and I missed that post? Somehow these look more saturated pigments than before....

Katherine it's the same W&N watercolours as usual - probably I've tweaked them slightly differently in photoshop.
