Late night drawing

stalbansabbey
As I was about to go to bed last night, I realised I hadn’t drawn all day, so a quickie using ‘Painter’ from one of my reference photos – no I didn’t sneak out in the middle of the night to draw. I realise if you don’t draw on a daily basis you get out of the habit and then one day you realise twenty years have gone by, since you last picked up a pencil.

Julie,

Just a note to let you know that I have posted a blog entry about your One Mile From Home site on the main page at CandlelightStories.com.

I think the site is excellent and I am pouring over every single sketch that's on it.

Best regards.

Love the sneak preview, and yes I think you do need to try and sketch every day. No Grumpy isnt the name of the place, we are the Grumpy goddesses, not sure who coined the phrase, joy probably as it is at her place we go, a good name for those who really arnt very grumpy at all, but there is an occasional stitch and bitch session. Had to call these odd week end get togethers something!

Oh, for a moment, there, I thought you were going to Do An Alison and go out in your jammies in the dark. :)

No matter how you do it, I guess it's Daily Sketching that we need to do to keep our hand in. Your daily work is inspiring, and so contageous, that it makes me do the daily sketch, too, so THANK YOU.
Annie
