Hugo after washing his hair
Whilst I was engrossed in this drawing, Tom was doing something unspeakable to his hair. It is now a permanent dark shade of navy blue. Ho hum, well it only takes a month for your hair to grow half an inch, so in a month or so it’ll be back to normal (if his school haven’t already sent him home to change it back to a more natural looking colour!)

It actually doesn't look blue in my picture. Anyway, that's the way these days. We had a woman clergy who died her hair according to the colours of the liturgical year nad her little dog wore coats of many colours. She was given the flick though - not the hair, I think it was the dog in the church problem!
One thing though someone told me was hair dye just ain't good for you - the chemicals can seep into your brain. True or false?

That is because it says this is Hugo and it was Tom dying his hair! I had to read it twice before I realised that as well!
Julie, I LOVE your family portrait idea, found you from Katherines blog, will be watching the project develop. All my kids (5 now grown) and self dyed hair for ages many shades of bright colours, no brain problems and the school just used to sigh, warn him tho, blue fades really quickly, bleach them bright red is the best for staying power!
Well I guess he just wants to look his best in the blog! ;)
Don't you ever wish you had one of those spray stencil kits and could do a Banksy of the back of his head?
I'll have you know that Tom reads my blog, and I think you're being a mischievous lot suggesting bright red and spraying designs onto the back of his head!
Like he colour, well blue hair, could be fuschia red streaked with green!
