Hottest year on record

The news today was that the UK has had record breakingly high temperatures this year – and we’ve been keeping records since the 17th century – so highly unlikely that we’ll have snow this year. However the leaves have at last fallen off the trees, so time for a bit of winter even if it’s only at the top of this blog.
