Going on a dragon hunt

There were large numbers of Eastern dragons at the British Museum, so Tom and I focused on drawing Western dragons when we went on to the V&A afterwards yesterday. Funnily enough, unbeknownst to me, fellow blogger Katherine Tyrrell was drawing somewhere else in the building and it was her blog that had spurred me on to catch the Leonardo da Vinci drawings exhibition before it closed. This is the second near miss we’ve had!

Excellent sketches. They really cause the imagination to churn.

What fun - drawing dragons! At least they can't turn away and disappear like a life model. You do have fun in your travels and there is just so much out there to draw - so why am I so lazy over here in Geelong!
It's our 40th wedding anniversary today so we are a bit nostalgic for the old friends we knew then who have scattered all over the world.
