Remembrance

Remembrance Sunday, so Tom, Flo and Hugo were in the parade and attending the memorial service. Xavier wore his admiral outfit in solidarity with the others, but soon became bored with the service so I had to sneak away and entertain him with tasting food samples at the farmers’ market at the other end of town.

We have Remembrance Day here though not many people attend ceremonies. Our family had a bit of kava Saturday night to remember two special people. One was Peceli's much older brother who went to the Solomons when he was bout 17, just followed a cousin to polish his boots, the family story goes. Well, he died there.

I always enjoy seeing the way you draw little people with just a couple of brush strokes. Or brush pen strokes, I guess?

Wendy - how sad about Peceli's brother – so young.
Jana it's a Pentel brush pen - which is a real brush unlike your recent sepia purchase.
