Panayia Krasata

This chapel on the coast north of Vathi was apparently built by a wine merchant who had been saved from a shipwreck nearby. Rumour has it that the mortar was mixed with wine rather than water.

Julie, I hope you are going to do something with your holiday pictures - a coffee table kind of book of little stories, anecdotes with the pictures. Or an article or two for a travel magazine. - 'Have paints, will travel' kind of story.I like the way you have painted the rocks.

Tami, isn't it a great story. Wendy I probably will at least print off the blog pages for Xavier as paper is probably more durable than an internet page.
Terry thank you - and what lovely work you have on your blog.
