This is a place where I regularly post personal artwork, good, bad or indifferent.
The characters that crop up regularly in this blog are daughter – Flo, eldest son – Tom, second son – Hugo and third son – Xavier.
I'll try to reply wherever you comment but if I don't it's only because I'm overwhelmed with caring for my family and earning a living.
And talking about earning a living, if you need a good all round graphic designer please visit my business website to see if I can help you.
If you want to buy prints of anything you see here or have any requests please send an email to julie at julieoakleydesign dot com

this is so original! i love it!
This is such a great idea and a great illustration! I'm doing it, just not with the faithful drawing that you are. I'll get there! :-D
I just took a look at your new blog - what a splendid idea! Your various illustrations from the different walks are wonderful...i feel as if I've been on an excursion with you. The map with the route is a wonderful addition. And oh...this illustration here is delightful! It looks like something right out of a women's magazine in the 50s:>
This is indeed a brilliant idea! Not just with this illustration as a self-promotion, but also your one mile from home. I wish I have the time to do the same too! Keep your motivation going!
How ingenious! I was curious so I checked it out and I must say it's a fabulous (and healthy) idea! You obviously live in a gorgeous and inspiring area...I look forward to your future walks and posts!
What a wonderful idea! I hope to do some of this, but I'm not sure if I can accomplish it every day. I am already walking three times a week, but not drawing as much. Maybe I'll be able to combine the two soon. Thanks for sharing these two blogs with us.
Too Cute! I love it!
Blogger's bum is the funniest thing I've read in a while. :-)
Oh gosh I am new to your blog and bust out laughing when I saw your little poster. Does it come with a guarantee to loose weight...said with tongue in cheek!!
Julie - well no need to exercise those marketing muscles! ;) I love the advert and I think you ought to wangle it into the blog somehow or other.
Thank you all for visiting – I've been a bit remiss about replying to everyone _ too little time while trying to fit in all the commitmentts to walking, drawing, kids and work. But I just wanted to say I really appreciate all your kind comments.
