Brown’s – Brighton
Lovely meal with my friends, Jenny and Guy, and our daughters, at Brown’s. I don’t normally try to draw when I’m socialising with friends but I couldn’t resist scribbling the view from our table, which amused us all.

This is a place where I regularly post personal artwork, good, bad or indifferent.
The characters that crop up regularly in this blog are daughter – Flo, eldest son – Tom, second son – Hugo and third son – Xavier.
I'll try to reply wherever you comment but if I don't it's only because I'm overwhelmed with caring for my family and earning a living.
And talking about earning a living, if you need a good all round graphic designer please visit my business website to see if I can help you.
If you want to buy prints of anything you see here or have any requests please send an email to julie at julieoakleydesign dot com

Keep up the good work! Added your link to my blog
Great pic. I've seen this scape before. But so many of those who provide this scape seem to do it unknowingly. That must be the case cause these are the same ones that can't begin to express their disgust at a plumber's hindscape when engaged with pipes under the sink. When I watched the first cuts of American Idol, I couldn't help thinking that one dame, with a pleasing voice, simply got cut because the speaker thingy that is normally countersunk in the back of the skirt or jeans was sunk someplace 'offal' - it had to be to keep it from falling out. I'm glad I'm not famous. I don't want nothing to do with recycled video speakers that are worn tucked into the derriere.
