Final wedding picture

Off to lovely Lacock to celebrate Alison and Iain’s wedding — and the original painting is framed and mounted — all by the skin of my teeth! Thank you Robert for being my co-conspirator and providing me with all the fantastic reference photos.

Julie,
You can be very proud of this portrait. What better gift can you give a friend than a part of yourself?

Your painting is wonderful! What an incredible gift for the wedding. I hope they love it as much and cherish it forever.

Dear Julie

When they are old they will still love this beauriful painting.

You do realise that you you need to do three extra (smaller) ones for the children because they and their future families will love them as much. Everyone will want them in their homes.

Thanks for all your supportive comments, I was relieved to get it completed in time. As you can see there are some bits that look slightly unfinished (the skirt on the right for instance) but that's the beauty of a deadline - you're not tempted to overwork it because you can't
