This is a place where I regularly post personal artwork, good, bad or indifferent.
The characters that crop up regularly in this blog are husband – Robin, eldest teenager and only daughter – Flo, next teenager and eldest son – Tom, teenager second son – Hugo, five year old third son – Xavier, and red Staffordshire Bull Terrier – Rufus.
I'll try to reply wherever you comment but if I don't it's only because I'm overwhelmed with running a family and earning a living.
My two eldest have started a business venture selling artwork (mainly my paintings) to raise money for university. Please visit their site, Oakley Gallery to see what they are selling now.
If you want to buy prints of anything you see here or have any requests please send an email to flo at oakleygallery dot com

I love the arch of the back and the glowing eyes...very catlike! Cool exercise...funny about black...every time i go to match black clothes, they're all different colors! Well, it's works beautifully in your illo:>
Cute kitty. I enjoyed the white tipped tail.
Shades of black is an intersting idea...
I like the way the eyes glow in the dark and so does the tail!
Hypnotic!!! Is like a cat in the dark.Great composition.
looks like he has just jumped down and landed on his feet- or is arching his back to scare off a rival cat. Great lines and love the glowing eyes.
Cool picture, very sinister, I'd hate to meet that bad boy down a dark alley.
beautiful lines Julie...
Oh, the posture on this cat, the various blacks, those glowing eyes, the composition of the illustration--just wonderful!
Thank you all for your comments. Carla I know about the clothes - but I'm such a slob anything that vaguely matches does for me. Queen Tut and Caroline - I wasn't sure whether to just have the eyes glowing so glad to hear you like the tip of the tail.
