Flo watching TV

Mouse over to see the black and white version. Karen Winters very kindly showed me how to do it. I love how you can see an alternative version of a picture or the preliminary sketches so I’ll probably be doing it to death in the future.

Beautiful drawing of Flo. Is this your daughter? She's a pretty girl!

Oh the vanity of youth. Flo (my daughter) hates this picture. To be honest this isn't the most flattering or accurate portrait of her (the face is definitely too long)but after Karen Winters gave me some tips on mouse over pictures I was desperate to try it out with a colour /black and white version of a picture.

Julie, your mouseover worked just fine.
May I suggest that you add a subhead under the picture so that people know it is a mouseover to get the full effect. I didn't know it was one until I read down into the comments, as the picture was big enough to see without clicking.

Karen thanks for the suggestion (which I've now incorporated) and thank you for your generosity in explaining how to do it.

Great picture and idea!
If you mouse erratically on the corner of the picture, it looks like you need a new telly!
Strobe effect!

Cream, how did you know what our telly is like?
Caroline, I particularly like this effect as done by one of the regular Illustration Friday illustrators, who shows the rough pencil sketch below the highly polished final vector illustration. Lin that's very kind.
