Illustration Friday - COLD

A bit of a tenuous link, but in the time available, all that I could manage. I walked up to the bluebell wood yesterday and the cold weather has definitely started — but if it’s a cold crisp sky like this one I don’t mind.

This is a place where I regularly post personal artwork, good, bad or indifferent.
The characters that crop up regularly in this blog are husband – Robin, eldest teenager and only daughter – Flo, next teenager and eldest son – Tom, teenager second son – Hugo, five year old third son – Xavier, and red Staffordshire Bull Terrier – Rufus.
I'll try to reply wherever you comment but if I don't it's only because I'm overwhelmed with running a family and earning a living.
My two eldest have started a business venture selling artwork (mainly my paintings) to raise money for university. Please visit their site, Oakley Gallery to see what they are selling now.
If you want to buy prints of anything you see here or have any requests please send an email to flo at oakleygallery dot com

lovely, Julie!
Nice, that's how it looks around here, too.
Nice...this reminds me of the cornfields, cold and hard as a rock in the winter.
It's so nice, good illo
This calls to mind the barren fields of the farms around where I live...broken stalks of corn, hard brown earth with the furrows frozen until the spring, and the cold wind....I think your illustration is very cold, and very effective. It shows the concept so well that i can feel it!
Autumn is here, Julie! But today it is very wet and cold!
I can just about bear the cold when the skys are blue - but overcast skies, drizzle and dark evenings - yeuch.
Thanks for your nice comments about this quick, late entry
