No to spam
I really enjoy receiving comments, so it is with great reluctance that I've had to put word verification onto my blog, but I'm not prepared to have my blog littered with spam advertisements in the comments.
I've added comments to other blogs that have this feature and it doesn't seem to be too onerous so please do still keep coming and adding your comments.

This simple word thing is easy, really, and keeping out the spam robots is worth it! I'm using it too, doesn't seem to keep people out :-)
Julie, your work lately is wonderful. I wish I were as confident with my marks on paper!
Julie, I had to do the same thing on my blog. And I love your new clean, white look -- I'm thinking of doing the same thing with mine. If you figure out how to do a picture in the masthead, though, please let me know. (I'm HTML challenged...) Great drawings lately, too! :-)
