Carved wooden candle-stick
Painted gold and blue, the pair of wooden candlesticks came free with marrying Robin – I'm uncharacteristically fond of them.

This is a place where I regularly post personal artwork, good, bad or indifferent.
The characters that crop up regularly in this blog are daughter – Flo, eldest son – Tom, second son – Hugo and third son – Xavier.
I'll try to reply wherever you comment but if I don't it's only because I'm overwhelmed with caring for my family and earning a living.
And talking about earning a living, if you need a good all round graphic designer please visit my business website to see if I can help you.

Julie, this is wonderful -- so complex to draw, I'd bet, and your hatching is really well done! I like the way you let the shadow go across onto the next page, too.
Linda thank you- I thought I'd try to be a little more controlled with the hatching this time (rather than my usual lot of random strokes and squiggles. Kamuelacarol, nice to meet you and what an interesting blog you have - mine seems to be so unfocused after peeking at yours.
Great drawing...and an unusual angle to draw from...as always, you did a wonderful job on this.
Dang girl! your cross hatching is to die for! Nice work!!
