Illustration Friday - WISDOM

A quickie in honour of a wise politician who died today. Mo Mowlam's honest, straight, affectionate and unconventional approach got things done. We could all learn something from her.

I like the bold strokes and the simplicity of this. It seems very much in keeping with your descritpion of Mo Mowlam...I confess that I do not know who she is, but your illustration has prompted me to look her up. Very nice!

I really love brushwork like this. Did you use a brush pen?

Thank you all.

Do 'Google' Mo Mowlam's name if you have the time - you have to hand it to someone who tells Ian Paisley to f*** off.

I had very little time to do this, so for me it was a very quick illustration - about 10 minutes and yes I did use a brush pen - wonderful tool.

Nice and expressive image.

Mo Mowlam and Robin Cook in less than a month - very sad.

Karen, I have you to thank because I found out about these brushpens on your blog. A lot of the time I can't face getting out paintbrushes, inks, paints or water because of potential accidents with my toddler charging around, however the brushpens are a godsend.
