BCF - Combined with nude-self-portrait-with-a pet-Thursday

I know that on previous postings I may have lead you to believe I have a brown dog, but in reality I have a black cat and spend most of my time lounging on silk cushions having flowers from admirers delivered to me.
You don’t believe me?
Well until we get ourselves a pet elephant for me to pose behind there ain’t no way you’re gonna get a nude self portrait out of me.

I'm not sure if this is a referance to Manet's Olympia, or to an Olympic Milkman I know nothing about. It's always the cat that get's the cream...

This is so witty and so much fun! Redoing Manet and van Gogh and Velasquez, etc is the way to go!

This is wonderful... but if you haven't ever done a nude self-portriat I recommend it - there is no need to post it of course!

Julie, it looks really good!
Great idea...Was it cold in the bedroom?

Linda, Robin, and Lin, glad you enjoyed it.
Laura I see you've been BCing Van Gogh but so much more recognisable than my efforts. I reckon everyone else cheats.
Caroline - well I did have this art tutor who got us all to do it - the results were embarrasing enough in my twenties so I don't think I could face the experience again in my forties
Cream - is this comment provoked by her looking a little perky in the nipple department?

Exactement!
I am gonna remember them for the next time I draw a nude!
The cat looks great too! Never noticed it first time I looked!

Don't you get that seeing everything as beauty thing once you get into the flow of drawing from life?

I do, that's why, despite the unpublishable results, I find it affirming to do nude self-portraits (even in my flabby forties...).

I admit now is not the season for it, too cold...
